Hi, hoping someone could give me ballpark figure on these items thinking of selling. Most clearly marked either 10k, 14k, or 18k. Mens watches are accutron 17 jewel and cant find ladies but they seem be late thirties. Also have bunch vintage timex ladies if theres market for them idk. Thx 20180109_002812_1515524037043.jpg 20180109_002802_1515524098216.jpg 20180109_024145_1515523867289.jpg 20180109_024139_1515524160683.jpg 20180109_032331_1515524205828.jpg

Most clearly marked either 10k, 14k, or 18k.

    Most what ?
    Cases..?
    The bands?

While the Acutrons may have some collectible value.....the rest would seem to lie in the gold melt weight....IMO.

Those bands are all gold-filled, i.e. costume. They don't sell for much if you can get them to move at all.

The Accutron on the right might have some collector value. None of the other movements would have appreciable interest. There may be some case scrap value.

I have a very similar Accutron that I wear all the time, and I'd buy one in a gold case because mine is just gold plated. All the rest of the stuff, as far as I can see from the pictures, looks likely to have no precious metal. 10 K GF is Gold Filled, a thin layer of gold on base metal, as is RGP, rolled gold plate.
Rule of thumb, anything after a carat mark means it is not solid gold. Anything with visible stainless steel is not solid gold. The gold parts will be GF or plated.

Oh, just looked the Accutron more closely and I see it is quartz. The collectable Accutron watches are the electro-mechanical 'tuning fork' type. The later quartz models are just usable, not collectable.
There may be something there of more than fleamarket table quality but my eyes are not good enough to pick it out.

Every once in a while, a very long while, something will turn up marked KP or possibly KGP. That's plumb gold, warranted to be exactly whatever the caratage says it is. Something marked 18k can be certified in the US if it's 75% gold or 74.8% or 75.1%. I'm not sure of the exact variance allowed, but plumb gold is dead on. It's gone out of use again and isn't common. Most times if you see letters directly after a karat mark, it isn't solid gold. Things marked HGE, EP, Rolled Gold, KGF etc are all costume pieces.
