Restoration and Conservation of Paper Works

    I know conservation is a science that requires years of study and thousands of dollars.
    But for someone who wants to experiment and learn the basics of paper restoration and de-acidification etc. are there some books or guides out there with some basic recipes. I don't really see much aside from phd level textbooks.

    Hi,
    The Metropolitan Museum in NY and the Congressional Library in Washington have wonderful articles on restoration of paper materials.
