    This brass horn is not marked, not sure what the rifles represent. I was wondering if this was a new repro or ?

    Thank You

    I believe that was Custer's regiment and the items are heavily reproduced.

    This page shows a new repro with the same insignia selling for $75.00. http://www.civilwarmall.com/bookseller/files/sword.htm#BUGLES

    If it were mine I think I would ask half that and be ready to accept an offer within reason and see what happens.

    See if it is a working bugle. That would be a plus!

    I like what I see, but the insignia could have been added to increase the value...
    How is the insignia attached, view from the inside would help.
    Here are my bugles;

    A real US Army instrument wouldn’t have such an insignia attached. They were purchased by the QM without any applied insignia and regulations prohibited “customizing” by unit personnel, for reasons you can easily understand.

    That goes for most country's, I red somewhere that "the customizing" could or would affect the sound in one way or the other...
