If you accept that the stamp in the top left corner was placed there when it was made, then by the perforation on the stamp, it had to be after the mid-1800's. I don't think they had perforation before that?

Good afternoon. I myself had doubts . Took a picture of the subframe, cleaned one edge of the painting and photographed. Judge for yourself. Thickness of 4.7 millimeters.

I don't believe yours is by the artist. For one, that type of wood wasn't typical of his time and for another, no great artist is going to paint on wood. Yours is a copy someone did of Van Dyck's self portrait as shown below. You can see the difference. IMG_7499.JPG

I do not think that the picture of the original . My request is : 1. Who is the author of a copy of the picture ?2. Time you copy a picture ? . Until the 17th century in Europe it was mainly wood. Artists from different countries prefer certain species of wood. For example, in Italy, used a plank of poplar, larch, Linden, Netherlands — oak in France, often used walnut, in Russia — mainly lime. Regards, Rashit

I don't think you can know who made it. It looks fairly modern and it's not even a good copy
