Pruners and don't know

Hi all anyone have any info on the company that made these pruners was after a possible age. Stamped ahrems good line germany found an old catalogue on line from sydney maybe from 1938. Also stamped 1682 which is their product number.
Also what is the other thing looks like a hair straightener stamped 'marc' made in Germany a little later than the pruners maybe. Chris

Yes a hair curler or curling iron. You would heat them on a stove or a special burner.

 

Secateurs, really, rather than pruners.

 

Or for making Marcel waves? Marcel had quite a career.

 

Making waves all over the world.

 

I still have two of my mother's hair curlers. One full size and one that she used on me when I was too young to stop her! God, I hated it because inevitably it would burn my scalp at some point. Children were subjected to torture in those days.
