A friends dog used to fart like mad if it had haggis and make a terri. When they visited us we used to secretly feed it a small tin of haggis.
A friends dog was not allowed haggis as she used to fart and fart. When they visited us, we always had a small can of haggis to secretly feed her. She was a lab so she loved food.

I was just thinking the same thing. I did enjoy reading about the Viking hoard in the paper this morning though.

The only alcohol I ever touch now. Has to be the good stuff and I only need about a cm in a glass to last all evening. High days and holidays only so I’m not expensive to keep.

Never sounded appetizing either! My grandparents were Scottish. Came to US in the 20s. This is my grandmother's recipe for haggis. She died when I was very young, so I've never tasted this recipe :hungry:

I’ve always disliked suet, dumplings and suet puddings always seemed claggy so that’s enough to put me off Haggis.

Off to find my unlucky sheep.....looking forwards to scraping its stomach with a knife and grating the liver :vomit:

A proper suet pudding is a great glory if well made. Especially Kate and Sydney! I make lovely dumplings. The trick is to use lemon juice to mix them not water. And add loads of herbs.

I used to put very finely chopped onion into dumplings.

That works well, too - I used to go to a Jewish restaurant which did that. Yum.

    There’s a coincidence!
My mothers name. Although spelled Sidney after her father.......now called Margaret unsurprisingly :hilarious:
