Known as the Galloway hoard, unearthed in Scotland.
The Cross was cleaned up using a porcupine quill.

That is so cruel, poor haggis.:(
Glad to see there are still some in the wild though:

"According to some sources, the wild haggis's left and right legs are of different lengths (cf. Sidehill gouger or Dahu), allowing it to run quickly around the steep mountains and hillsides which make up its natural habitat, but only in one direction. It is further claimed that there are two varieties of haggis, one with longer left legs and the other with longer right legs. The former variety can run clockwise around a mountain (as seen from above) while the latter can run anticlockwise.[5]"

You eat the inside, which is just minced meat and spices. The mince can be of questionable origin.:nailbiting:
If you have a good haggis, and well-prepared, it is quite nice. I had haggis with 'neeps an' tatties' in the Dunvegan Hotel, on Skye. It was said to be the best place in Scotland for haggis, and I must say, it was nice. That was a lifetime ago, when I could still eat meat.

You All Got Me. Just reading real Haggis is illegal in the US. I had never heard of it, and didn’t realize the animal was fictional.
I thought this was one of Gods creatures I’d not seen before.

Fair fa' your honest, sonsie face,
    Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!
Aboon them a' ye tak your place,
    Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o' a grace
    As lang's my arm.

Good luck to you and your honest, plump face,
Great chieftain of the sausage race!
Above them all you take your place,
    Stomach, tripe, or intestines:
Well are you worthy of a grace
    As long as my arm.

It’s OK, I can laugh at myself. I’m just glad for that animal, that it’s imaginary. :joyful:
