Wallace, Rogers etc...help

    The four shown are plate. Sterling by Rogers would be marked sterling. Rogers sterling production was less than 1/10 of 1% of everything made by them.

    No need to test. These are all silver plated.

    The 2 that have the IS mark were made after the founding of International Silver - and if they were made of sterling, they would be marked as such.

    The one with "12 OZ" was marked that way to show how much silver was used in the plating of a large quantity of pieces.

    The one that is marked A1 is "standard plating."

    Somewhere I do have a piece of Rogers sterling and it definitely says sterling. I remember being a bit surprised as almost all the other Rogers I've picked up is plate.

    Plated. Modern engraving style of the monogram says post-WWII to me. The firm's name changed to Wallace Silversmiths in 1956. Then or later for a date.
