There are three 3in by 7 in hand painted pieces of bark each is mounted to heavy card stock type of thick paper that is folded. Any info greatly appreciated.

I would think more note/greeting cards - not postcards - sending those without an outer envelope would destroy the wood/bark I'm sure. Can you post a picture of an entire card? I can't really make out the handwriting - but perhaps someone will be able to. Also if you post a picture of the entire artwork someone might recognize it from that.

    I like them, great fun.
Are you sure they are on bark? Looks like very thin strips of wood to me, maybe birchwood?
Where did you get them? They look Central European, is that a Slavic language in Latin script? That would narrow it down to a few countries, and makes it a bit easier to decipher the signatures.
The signature on the last one looks like a different name. They are probably by folk artists and could represent local sayings/allegories.

I believe 2 different people painted and signed these decorative cards.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

The very tiny date on the last one, when blown up, looks like it "could" be 1889, which would fall in line with the other dates.............but the only real continuity I see with the three of them other than possibly the dates is what appears to be 'stage curtains' on the sides of each.......they are meant to be comical.........I think!! NOT a CLUE as to the writing below!!!!

It didn't occur to me (the curtains on the sides) thanks for the insight - outside my box

This was in bottom of an auction lot with a pair of very kitschy egg-head antique salt and pepper shakers and hopefully someone will recognize language that would definitely narrow search.

    Certainly Eastern European. Polish perhaps?

Ok, here is my best shot for the titles, on the lower left of each one: Panyska Kovanica.
Kovanica is a village in Serbia, which would fit in with the Central European dress, although I would have guessed slightly more to the north, Czech or Slovakian.
Serbia uses Cyrillic script, so maybe should call in a Cyrillic reader, @Natasha , @Figtree3 . These are the only two people I can think of now.

I found a Croatian bank called Banka Kovanica:

    Edit:
Kovanica refers to coin or money, in this case.

Probably best to forget about the artists and just call the cards Eastern European. I doubt if knowing the names would add anything to the value.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

These don't seem to me to be in Cyrillic script, but yes... eastern European seems right.
