I'm disappointed in the quality of my images - I try again -
should I use two or more posts? One for Claude, one for as yet unknown?

 

Good idea, I think. People may want to take a closer look at Claude to see if it is original of the period.

The Orientalist one looks like the work of an artist named Marius Bauer, but there were more artists sketching in the same style. I love it.

The Orientalist etching is a definite Marius Bauer, I love it! I have two Bauers myself.
Yours is called "The Streetsinger", here is one in a German gallery.

The text is in Dutch, with your knowledge of Norwegian you can probably make something better of it than google translate can. Any questions on the text, just ask.

Just looking to see if blowing up the computer screen in Antiquers helps decipher what's written below the image here........well, it doesn't help me, but it would help someone who knows the language!!!!

Be on the image.....hold the "ctrl" key down and scroll forward with your mouse.......to reverse.....just hold "ctrl" and scroll backward when done....
you may have to stop in the middle and re-adjust the image back on to your screen......
