I'll throw my nickel's worth in on the eraser type: kneaded erasures are excellent for delicate work. You can tear them into little pieces, form them into shapes, gently blot with them, etc.

I'm sorry, THIS IS THE ONE I USE TOO! It's white with a blue label grip. The most bang for the swipe!

Yes, this is why I like them too. Also, when you stretch them over and over, brings the clean parts to the surface.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Inquiring minds want to know... Did you try the recommended erasers? What happened then?

Hi Fig, nope not yet. I want a steady hand and clear head and with all my migraines of late, I feel like I could really mess it up right now.
    Thanks for asking.

I have mixed feelings. If you are going to resell it, maybe let the buyer decide what to do. I don't think you will ever be able to hide the fact that the mark was there - even erasing will leave some indication and they might just be happier dealing with it themselves. That said, if you do remove it, I agree that a kneaded eraser is the best tool. I'm a colored pencil artist and use a kneaded eraser on my work because it's the gentlest but most effective.
