It’s got a London 1997 import mark but it’s the makers mark which is hard to make out. I wondered if it was familiar to anyone @Bakersgma ? Thanks.

Sorry, I can't figure it out either. Sure looks like GO but no joy.

Yes, Bakersgma it’s a strange one as the o looks smaller, more like lower case and the G is a capital. I thought maybe the middle might be an M or just nothing at all. Thanks for having a look. The import mark makes it harder to search.

I tried the M in the middle too. Remember that the mark is the "sponsor" not necessarily the actual maker.

Between the G and the O, it looks like a trilobed flower whose stem is under the G to me. I don't know if that is any help.

Yes, I can see that now too. Think this one will likely remain unknown.

I didn’t know that. I have no idea how to find a sponsor though.

It's usually just like finding a British maker's mark - there's no separate list.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Absolutely an elusively tucked away mark!!! Not easy to even TRY and pull out!!!

It’s gone now, a Christmas gift posted to an old Art School friend who hopefully will like it and not be bothered about having all the info. Thanks.

JMHO, I would not call this a bangle since it is open ended, maybe a cuff? Anyway it's pretty and I hope your friend loves it :)

It's a torc identity bangle. Idea is you engrave the name on that flat bit. That design has been around here since the sixties.

The problem with these import sponsors is that they really aren't recorded. It'll be some modern retailer or other, I'll see if my brain wakes up.

I quite liked the flat top meant for an engraved name, she likes and wears Scandinavian and Ola Gorie silver so I thought it was plain enough to go with her style. I also sent, for her birthday a Kultaseppa Salovaara silver necklace which i bought years ago for £1 that I showed here. I really couldn’t afford to buy such nice things for friends if I didn’t go to Charity shops, Jumbles etc.

That's the thing: my car boot habit means I spend the same amount I would in a shop, but people get WAY nicer stuff. It's a win.

Hmm, I’ve only spent around £3 on both her gifts but she’s a bargain hunter when she can be in the Salford charity shops but she doesn’t find as good stuff as I do here.

Not done Salford in years. When I had my day job, I did 60K miles a year sometimes. Always made time for chazzas! Actually went in one today, although I wasn't planning to. Just as well: honking great lump of Whitefriars.

    Nice find!
Found a big pink Monart vase with gold adventurine in a Sue Ryder once, paid £7 and sold it at Auction for around £35. Bit cheap but enough for a few bits for me from Lidl.
