Carved Rosewood Statue....Origin..Artist ID Help??

    It is of course a figural rolling pin. Origin: Pier One.

    I was going to ask if the body was round, and if it could be a rolling pin?

    We can't see the end of the torso nearest the "leg" but the shadow suggests that there is no rounded "transition" like there is at the neck end. That would make for an awkward "rolling pin" IMHO.

    Yeah maybe rolling pin is wrong-on second glance the body doesn't look symmetrical about the axis. Rolling pins are always symmetrical about the axis. I still think Pier One or equivalent though.

    It was originally on some kind of platform & hand carved rosewood IMG_1535.JPG IMG_1536.JPG ,which would rule out rolling pin or Pier One
