Featured Waterford Crystal Cut Vase Mark Help

    I picked this vase up on sale . Stands 13 3/4" tall and is heavily cut. I have never seen a piece of Waterford with so much cut decoration. The mark is not typical but hand signed/etched. It shows color like an ABP piece. Any idea on age?

    I'm wondering if this could actually an original Waterford from Ireland. They closed in 1851.

    Post WWII a glass cutter from Eastern Europe, 'borrowed' a glass cutting machine, (yes, they do exist) from the Communist country he left and had a western firm make him seven copies of it and started up the new Waterford Glass cutters. It was legal, the old company couldn't stop the use of the name and the community welcomed the industry. I don't believe you will find that ANY orginals were 'signed.'

    There is another company in Waterford that produces crystal. I believe it's called Dingle Crystal. That looks like their mark. I have one of their pieces.
