Anything special about this brooch

    Probably brass rather than copper. Looks like there is gilding too.
    The glass stones are set with prongs, so no glue, which is good. This is one for the costume joolies.

    Time period would be about 1940s -50s.

    I think it's slightly later, 50s or 60s. One of those nice unsigned mysteries that I doubt you'll ever attribute. Not brass, wrong colour, plated pot metal probably.
