White stoneware - english?

    Came across a piece that looks somewhere in 19th century to me, but where and from whom? Has a shiny glaze that isn't obvious from the pics, about 10" tall. The only mark is the small impressed, possibly "D", that I show. Is that enough to ID the maker? Thanks!

    I think you will struggle with the maker but it looks like an English relief mounded jug from around the last quarter of the 19thc

    Found a few identical ones searching but none have identified the maker.

    Thank you! This will be a christmas gift to my wife (she's had an MMA repro of this style of pitcher for many years).
