Featured Purloined from Canada

    Terminal City Club Vancouver BC

    This was in a recent house clearance
    Not antique, small oval side plate.Hotelware probably for a bread roll.

    Back stamp shows it was produced between 1947 and 1954 so at least 63 years old.
    History search for similar past sales shows these go for silly money.

    Collectable ?

    Should be interest as it's a private club. feebay only shows one current listing of a cup and saucer that is dropping in price to try to sell. Nothing showing in sold.

    The Terminal City Club is one of the oldest private clubs in Vancouver; founded in 1892. This was perhaps for use in their dining room. The beaver on the logo might help to pin it down more closely than your 1947 to 1954 range, but I haven't been able to find a record of their logos.

    Yes; I'm suggesting that the presence of the beaver on the logo might help narrow down the time period to a more specific date within 1947-1954, if one could find some information on the logos used by the Terminal City Club in that time period.

    lloyd249 it's not hoarding if it's valuable

    growing up in Vancouver I have never heard of it ,looking it up i see why , it's in a pretty ritzy part of town , right with the bayshore inn, and the sears tower with cloud 9 restaurant very expensive ,the wall st. of Vancouver.
