Featured Is this a Lachrymatory tear catcher scent bottle?

    Got this today for a dollar because it looked interesting and old.
    It is 6 1/4" long and 1/2" square with gold designs.

    Isn't it a disposable scent bottle? I think this tear thing is a crying sham :arghh:.

    Thanks for all your replies. I know the story and don't think there were ever any tears in this bottle. That's what sellers are calling them.
