Who's making what ? I know high volume lower cost producers are largely gone, and high quality craftsman who have limited output are doing fairly well. Where does the industry stand in 2017 & going forward ?

Have been out of the new furniture industry for over 25 years now so am not current on trends. What I have observed is that much of the parts production from the big mainstream companies has been outsourced to Asia. Companies like Universal that produce everything overseas have carved out a large niche in the market due to price points. Think the low end imports are thriving. Companies like Ikea are producing lower end furniture with good styling and selling at slightly higher price points. There are still a few high end makers and contract furniture companies doing well. Doubt the middle mainstream furniture market can hang on. Much of the market has become disposable. Not much being produced that will survive to become antique.
