A large brass bowl

    Looks like hand forged with marked under rim indistinctly
    height 8 3/8", diameter 11 7/8"
    Any idea of the origin and market value?

    jingyel, are you sure it is brass? It looks like copper to me. Arts & Crafts?

    I also think copper. Maybe a hanging planter or a centerpiece bowl for a stand. The letters seem to be ED. Not a mark I know. Think this makes the origin US/UK/Europe. Where did you find it? Any history?

    Maybe 3 Ks? If so, could be an abbreviation for Kankakee. Kankakee (K3) has a very old mental hospital. I wonder if they ever had a metal fabrication therapy unit where they made such things. Also, instead of ED, it could be ID.

    I'm not sure those are latin letters. It's thin hand hammered copper, doesn't look more than a couple decades old. Round bottom is odd since it wouldn't stand on its own. Based on the manufacture I would look to India, Turkey, Morocco, etc. Lots of this stuff sold in tourist centers.
