    Merry Christmas!

I'll leave these up most of a week, make a decision next Wednesday.

Someone gets the Correa, someone else gets the Mimosa (making the grand assumption there will be at least two interested).

By attribution, these prints are from Curtis’s Botanical Magazine, 1849 (started in 1787 and still in publishing). They are each dated 1815, so presumably later restrikes from the plates. Both are hand-colored. Both prints show faint ink transfer from previously adjacent text.

All the sheets are approximately 9 ¼” by 5 ½”.

Each plate mark measures about 7 7/8” by 4 7/8”

Correa Speciosa (I think it has very Christmassy colors, which is why I’m offering it.)
This was first described in 1811 when it was identified as a separate species. It is now considered a subspecies of Correa Reflexa, and is an Australian shrub. It comes with a page of text, printed one side only. If I were going to keep this, I would mat the text and engraving to show side by side in a single frame.

Also offered is an engraving of Mimosa Sensitiva from the same source. The leaves are not what I associate with Mimosa, but I’m no botanist. It’s called the Sensitive Plant because, when you touch the leaves, they fold up. This also comes with a separate sheet of text (this one printed both sides).

Thank you, @Aquitaine -- This one is from an old carte de visite photograph that I own, of an actress (I think) named Cornelie D'Anka. It's actually a beautifully tinted photograph.

I hope that @moreotherstuff will tolerate my posting the entire image here.. I think the bird is probably artificial.

I'll be arbitrary about this. Fig asked first, so gets first choice.
@Figtree3: let us know which one you want, and message me your address

@jakes vintage: you'll get the other. Please message me your address as well.
