Featured Lots of Glass beads necklace

I seen new ones of these but made out of plastic beads, these beads are all glass.
This came from the place where I got the 1944 pendant and some art deco jewelry.
This necklace has that vintage musty smell, where these made for someone back in the day for something ? What are they called, or any info ?

How long? Sort of in the sautoir family, I think, but others will know better.

 

It's 19" from tip to end.

Looks like a bayadère necklace.
A bayadère is a long, braided necklace. They were popular in the early 1900s. The more expensive ones were made of seed pearls or tiny coral beads.
Bayadère necklaces often have a pendant or tassel, which makes them look a bit like sautoirs:

No not the same, but not all bayadères are the same, just like not all sautoir or festoon necklaces are the same. The world would be a very boring place if they were.
