    It's either Japanese or German.

    I still do not think it is Japan but I am of no real help not being able to hold it in person. For me at least it seems I can almost always identify a Japan piece as soon as I start to pick it up since it is always lighter then I assumed it was going to be.

    I'm going to lean toward German as well.
    Like all countries there are good manufacturers and some lower quality ones.

    While this is nice and the cherub is cute if you look at the details of the face and compare it with other German made pieces you will see that this is not on the higher end of things.

    It is nice and there are people who collect cherubs.
