They are only replicating old designs in bad quality So lets say it was used to be. daveydempsey, I also like to spend holidays in Yalıkavak, not far from Turgutreis. Thanks ownedbybear It is not related with the bird actually. Only in English there is a funny and misfortuned matching. Originaly in Turkish, it is Türkiye, not Turkey

 

daveydempsey I dont know when are you planning to visit but if its soon, and if its only for fun, I recommend you to wait for the spring, now the season is dead there.

 

Then I suggest you to visit Çeşme and Alaçatı. There is a really good antique market in Alaçatı, it is a nice 19th cc town. Lots of local foods (vegetable Aegean kitchen) and nice hotels.
