New Zealand collector

    Hi, thanks for allowing me to join this interesting and informative group. I've been collecting for decades, following in my father's footsteps, scouring second hand and charity shops and Trademe (NZ version of Ebay) for bargains. My tastes are eclectic - my collection covers antique British, European and Oriental porcelain and pottery, metalware & silver, antique jewellery, clocks and watches. I keep mostly to pre 1920s with some exceptions for interesting or Art Deco pieces. Constantly learning, I would love to learn how to repair as I have many damaged pieces that I would not have been able to afford had they been in perfect condition.

    Hers is for Doretta - a family name. Grandma, also a Doretta, made it necessary.
