Featured Old Metal Belt Buckle

It's a Western/cowboy style buckle, if I recall correctly, circa 1980s-90s and made by the Western Buckle Co. - suppose it could be pewter, but they've always looked to me like a zinc based alloy...

@Barn Owl .....your 3rd image down....back of belt buckle.....I tried two processes.....only MINIMALLY different results, but I think I see something like "WISE", don't know in the middle, and it looks line "RR" on the bottom line....that's all I can pull out....IF EVEN that much...... and some letters scratched also just under that curve at the top.....

 

Thank you, Aquitaine. I should try to do that on my computer, too. I just assumed it said Made in USA since it sort of looked like it. Should probably give it another look...

 

I’ve had and have buckles like this. A few I’d love to wear like some Navy ones I have but even though I wear jeans a lot I just don’t seem to bother to wear them.
Most I’ve ever had have an aged look to them and I like them like that so I’ve never tried to clean them because that’s the general look. I don’t like the shiny ones especially with shiny brass additions.

 

Y'know, @Barn Owl, it just COULD say "Made in USA"! You put that in my head and it's a definite possibility!!!
