Featured old jade, new jade and not jade

been reading about jade

..... but posting here is so much more fun

i have no idea whether these are valuable, mum never kept the receipts some older pieces belong to grandma and great grandma e.g. buttons and jade rings. of course mum could have taken some old jade pieces to the jeweller for setting.
jade spiders are tie pins, right?

Your jade jewelry appears to be what was popular back in the 1960s - 70s. Sorry can't help with the quality of the jade, although it looks to be on the better side. You may need to go to a gemologist.

This is most likely Peking glass and not stone.

 

I agree with time period. Mostly 1960s-1970s.

yep the ones in the first photo are mum's, so 1960-70s
no sure about the bangles but the beads are "young" . the buttons are peranakan, and the 2 rings are old, pre-WWII. some of the bracelets may belong to my grandma, so earlier than 1960s

i will have to take them to the local jewellers as i am planning to part with them ...
