Featured Where's this bangle/bracelet from?

I wonder if anyone could help identify the script on this bangle, please?
It's only brass; I don't even know if there's much age to it - just curious as to its origin, and to know maybe what the script says.
The only marks are inside, each half is marked "DÉPOSÉ" (French patent mark) - I bought it in France.
Excuse the arty pics - if it would be useful I could take some more.

It is a souvenir bangle from the Maghreb (NW Africa), probably Tunisian. A copy of the local calligraphy bangles. The symbols are Arabic calligraphy.
It looks like it was silver plated, most of these are. The real ones are silver.
The Maghreb was French at one time, French is still used alongside Arabic and native Amazigh or Berber languages.

This is just a guess: the pendant could be a floral symbol with four petals, which signifies Christian origin. Eight petals would signify Arab origin, eight combined with a star of David Jewish origin, and a Yaz symbol ('free man') Amazigh/Berber origin.

You're right, no silver plating, but very nice, cast brass.

They never do, thankfully. Most are Islamic quotes. We sold one a couple of years ago which said 'Free Woman', I liked that. Someone trustworthy translated it for us.
