    Hi there!

I found this Holy Rosary few days ago in Latvia.

    It can be opened.
Inside there are 12 names. (one is missing)

Maybe somone can tell something more about it?
    About the worth?Thanks a lot!

    Welcome to the forum, matiss.
What you have is not a rosary, but a crucifix-shaped reliquary. It may have been on a rosary, what is the size?
It contains tiny relics of saints, with their names. Little relics like these are often pieces of textile claimed to have come from clothing worn by a saint.
The value depends on where you are. There will certainly be an interest for this, it is 19th century and you don't see them every day.

We are not appraisers, we don't give values here. We give our opinions, knowledge and insights on what you show us, and with that information you can research a price in your own country or region.

Are these twelve local saints? Some of them appear to be saint's names, but I don't recognize a couple.

I read: Delbert, Konrad, Lucia, Magnus(?), Liliosa, Johannes, Franz, Columba, (llumin?), Kresze, Urbanus. Could be that more of the name, like a surname, or a number for Urbanus, are hidden.
The spelling seems to be a mix of German, Latin and Polish.

That's why I thought local. It could even be the names of family members and the person with the cross was seeking intercession for them.

The only ones like this that I have seen were reliquaries. Today I saw a new one advertised in a German webshop, containing 'Sand from the Holy Catacombs'.;)

Under the names are something like small bags.
And these words arent local. In Latvia we dont use words like this.

The pieces of textile are the relics or are bags containing the relics.
The names are in German, Latin and what looks like Polish. The German spelling of the names Konrad and Franz is also used in Polish. Latin names would have been familiar to most Roman Catholics in the 19th century, and Poland was/is a very Roman Catholic country.
I think it is Polish, and taken to Latvia either by someone from Poland who lived in Latvia, or by a Latvian pilgrim.
