35mm Slides ID Help

Hoping to ID a couple things on 2 slides. 1 is the college football team with the M on the helmet, the other is a sports stadium

 

The team with the white helmets could be the Rams at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas.

I am not finding the team with the M on the helmet.

Do you know when these were taken? Team logos and uniforms change over time.

 

Michigan is the closest I can find on the M, but their helmet has always been very different. Here is a site with their uniform history: http://mvictors.com/uniform-timeline/

I suspect it is not a big school like Michigan but a very small one.

Why don't you contact Angelo State University to see if the team in the blue shirts is the Rams? Maybe they can give you an idea of when the photo is from and who the other team is.

 

Marie the Rams team is URI Rams. I bought a huge lot of slides from a RI estate. I have a few of the football team, the band and other stuff. Also have super 8 mm movies. The kids were into band competitions and sports competions, so I have a bunch of CYO Nationals Boston. Some movies I think are baseball competions. Also have slides from ASA Women's slow pitch national Chanmpions. I googled the URI football roster for that year, not much help...at least for a non sports fan.

Sabre, someone else mentioned Maine but I couldn't match up the M on the helmet. Will take another look. Football slides are from 1977

The illustration I found looks like a match down to the stripe on the socks (far right). I saw they switched their designs around a few times back then. Didn't find an actual photo, however, in a quick search.
