Can you all please help me with these items?

The necklace... appears to be made of some type of heavy solid glass and small rock crystal(?). I can tell from the sterling clasp it's old, but not sure of age or origin.

The hand made silver earrings from what little I've researched appear to be Spanish Colonial(?). They are marked with a small attached plaque that reads: 'SILVER MEXICO", but this plaque doesn't appear original to the earrings....... meaning: the earrings appear much older than the silver marked plaques. The earring at far right isn't marked at all. Can you guys please help with these items?

    Thank you!

The beads are commonly called peacock eyes, but that's debateable, a peacock eye really should be green and blue - the dot is a silver foil inclusion with some multi-colored confetti. They're nice beads, probably somewhere around 1930s-60s, with that satiny base, would guess Czech, but might be Venetian/Murano. Beads are often restrung, and the 'sport' spring ring was used for decades, from the late 19th century into at least the 1970s, I bought a new sterling chain with one back then, may still be available, but I haven't seen any new in a while.

The pair of earrings look to me like maybe 1930s-40s, and the 'applied plaque' looks like someone clipped the screw-back off, perhaps to hang them from ear-wires...

Similar beads (several others show up on eBay and elsewhere, but these sold): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pea...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

This pair of earrings appear to be marked about the same, the screw-backs intact: http://www.sterlingkeeper.com/product/vintage-mexican-silver-jade-bird-screw-back-earrings

    Cheryl,

You are so awesome, thank you so much!

I've been trying as of late to brake into the "antique & vintage" jewelry market (diversify) and have not a clue most of the time what I'm buying/selling/giving away. I've been pretty lucky so far with buying lots and some single pieces for quite cheap.

I was driving myself crazy trying to ID what type of glass these beads may be.

Again, thank you for your help.

This is another piece I've been having trouble with.

Is there a particular name for this Trifari set? Age?

    (sorry about the poor images)

The earrings look like trashed Mexican sterling, probably 30s/40s. Trashed because some idiot at some point in the past cut the screwbacks off. They aren't worth much now. I'd put some french wires on 'em and wear the earrings.

For the Trifari set, the easiest way to be sure is to get a good clear look at the mark. The simplest way to do that is to shoot on the Macro setting through a loupe or other magnification device. I use a stamp magnifier, but they make the same thing for counting knots in rugs. The advantage to those is they're built into a folding stand that put the item underneath into focus. My first guess on it would be late 60s, but it's hard to be sure. How long is the necklace? The basic rule of thumb is the shorter a choker is, the older it is.

    Thank you!

@Shi, thanks for the links. Some very impressive items they have there.

@Eve, thank you. Will post some close-up images of the mark a bit later when I get time. Thanks again for your time and thoughts.

@Bear, lol! I'll make sure to place "mine" within the title and item description once listed.
