Artnet doesn't approve of ad-blockers, apparently :jimlad:

I use ad blockers, and I can see it without a problem. Maybe something else stopping it?

The gist of the story is that while art historians knew there had once been a Salvator Mundi by da Vinci, there have always been doubts that the above Salvator Mundi was by him. Recently a sketch was discovered to be by da Vinci, and it is believed to be a study for the real da Vinci Salvator Mundi (and much more like his other works):

Im not clear on how that conclusion was reached . How could the "expert" possibly know that drawing was in fact Mundi ?

I have no idea, other than that the sketch is a da Vinci, and has apparently been recognized as such by the Leonardo da Vinci International Committee.
But she is going to present a paper on her research after the Italian lockdown has been lifted. Of course that could take some time. Maybe she should consider online conferencing options.
