#01.JPG #02.JPG #03.JPG #04.JPG #05.JPG #07.JPG #08.JPG #09.JPG #10.jpg #06.JPG I have had this bowl for about 5 years now and keep tying to find info on it. It looks like the glass has been blown right inside of the metal part as it bulges out on the sides in the heart shape and is one piece. It stand 8cm (3 1/4') high and 13cm (5 1/4") across the top. I am not sure what the metal is but I have tested it and it is not silver. The glass itself is approx. 1/2cm (1/4") thick and formed very tightly to the metal.
I am looking for help to discover where it might have been made, by whom and for what use. I did shine it up a bit. Not sure if that was a good idea but I did. Thanks for any help you can give me or direction to research it. Oh yes also how old you think it may be.

Thanks for trying Judy. I have just never seen another one even close to it. I am thinking that the glass had to have been blown into the metal and then cut off at the top of the metal. Thanks again

If it's not too late to edit your title, add the word glass.

I'm thinking perhaps 60's or so.

Hi, Cardon! Your post has been viewed more than SIXTY times, and I'd say that, yes, that means that nobody thus far can ID your bowl... Sorry!

Believe this to be a modern décor item. Saw similar in the big-box stores in the last 10 years.

Thank you Erstwhile. That is almost exactly like my bowl. I will do some research on Caged Glass. There is a light in the window. Thanks.

I had a candle holder in the early 70s that was a similar construction.
