Just to save on some confusion these are not re strikes, they are genuine coins. Just had to say because it was really bugging me.

I only own four re-strike coins, none of which are in these photos. I just wanted to clear that up

You are going to have to get the word Restrike out of your head.

One of the most misunderstood terms in numismatics is the word “restrike.” In its strictest sense, a restrike is a coin made from original dies at a later year.
The Crown you showed some time back is a counterfeit, a forgery, made to deceive.

Went back and only one was left

Another lucky auction win, I paid a bit more than what I normally do this time but still worth every penny, 30 pounds paid.

There was a second lot I was bidding on but they sold for 103 pounds which is way out of my bidding range just for some pocket watch chains, its crazy :stop:.

Here are the ones I won for 30 pounds with a few others bits.

Lousy photo, but I found this on a 14k white gold chain. Scrapped the chain to an antique guy who buys gold. The pendant isn't marked and has stones that aren't diamonds and aren't CZs and aren't sapphire. I'm thinking maybe topaz, and the metal could be anything. DSCF5161.JPG

Been buying these for $1.49 each at a local thrift, almost every time I go in there’s at least one.

I'm shopping where Anund is shopping! My closest thrift barely gets any vintage at all.

That's a possibility; YAG isn't used much any more, but I have no idea how old this piece is.

Yep. We old ladies who've been at this a while can mostly spot it on sight. I may have to dig out my pile and see what's here.

You're more of an old fart, which is a more effective sort than a young fart.
