    ...Because why not, right??

When I was a little boy, my grandmother had one of these in solid gold, which she wore on a chain around her neck...sadly it was lost in a move, and we never saw it again.

This one is in silver (it's unmarked, but antiques of this design were almost always in 18kt gold, or 925 silver. I've never seen a silver-plated one), and are unique to Asia (specifically China, and Chinese-populated areas, such as Singapore, Malaya, etc).

As you can see, it has an earwax scoop on one extension, and a toothpick on the other. Fully extended, it's just under three inches long.

It's probably solid silver but I would not assume 925 without proper testing. Lots of Chinese jewellery is 800 silver.

    WUUUUT??

No, I've been using these for years, I'm not in any danger.

I would be extremely surprised if this was anything other than some kind of silver. I know a place that does metal testing. I could easily take it there and let them have a look at it.

Mine's a bit different, cylindrical, 2-3/8" long retracted, 2" longer extended (have a weakness for dragons, and a dedicated spoon collector really should have an 'ear spoon')...
