Are these made from agate?

    I was wondering if this plate and trays are made from agate or something else? Thanks for any info!

    No, Agate, a natural mineral/stone is colored throughout, the pieces above are glass (which some may call agate) in two layers, one with green color the other white.

    More commonly called "slag glass" when speaking of display dishware.
    These look 1960s to me.

    Oh, and Cherryhill is correct about the two layers, this is called cased glass.
    So you have agate colored green cased glass ashtrays and matching bowl.
    It's called agate glass when speaking of marbles, I think. ;)
