Could anybody date these two pieces of jewelry?

These were both finds, the hair clip was dug from an old 1880s to 1920s sort of era rubbish dump. I'd like to get an accurate date on it if anybody on here knows more about it.

The brooch was a metal detecting find, there is some glue on the brooch which was put on it to hold in the stone. the jewels are some kinda glass and the metal is pewter.

The yellow brooch has a type of clasp seen in jewellery from the mid-20th century. I can't tell what the other piece is. Sash buckle? What is the back like?

Is that tortoiseshell on the front of the top one?

I think enamel not tortoiseshell. Did you run it by the PAS?

It could be tortoiseshell I never thought of that. I will have to get it checked out.

I think it is tortoiseshell, it doesn't feel like enamel.

I think tortoiseshell reacts to UV light. Or am I confusing that with horn?.
Ok, I just read that back, ignore me, tortoiseshell is a type of horn isn’t it :banghead::rolleyes:. So it should react?
