Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

She thinks it's a watercolor, (I'm thinking print, BWDIK!) came from an attic about a year or so ago in a house clean out. Absolutely nothing on the back.....I asked for more images, size, etc, but they haven't been forthcoming yet. You can see it's named 'Old Salt' and the artist's name is R. Newton A. Wills. You can also see it faintly written on his right shoulder. That's about all I know about it. It is framed but she cut the frame out of the picture when taking it! I couldn't find ANY info on the artist doing an internet search......just wondering if any of you can turn up anything. Gut feeling is it's about 12" X 14", but I'll push her again for more!!!!! Also thinking it's probably someone local who painted it......BUT, Hope Does Spring Eternal, as "they" say!!!! Thanks as always for ANY HELP!!!

Kinda looks like they have the same hat and the same name for their painting. an-old-salt-james-drummond.jpg

It says Newton A. Wells faintly along the front of the right shoulder too.
