    Is it missing a part ? if there is any markings, i cant find them. Google lens takes me to cymbals

    Greetings, Michelle! I would guess it's probably missing more than just one part. ;) Could be part of a serving piece ( in glass? maybe?)

    I take it there are no identifying marks of any kind? Did it come with other items (possible missing pieces?)

    Just another alternative to a wingnut thing so you can assemble and keep the finial tight with finger pressure.
