I got this brooch from the same person I got the French gold enamel one from. Different cleanout. The brooch is a little more than 2" long. I'm the one who over cleaned it.

Am I safe in calling this Victorian? What do you suppose the symbolism of three crossed arrows is?

Any and all comments are welcome.

    Hi Book,
It is beautiful and one that I would wear on my suit jacket.

I would have thought this was newer 1960s or later. Italy? India?
Is it silver plate on brass? Or is that glare?

Looks like the whole piece is brass/copper wire coated with silver solder.

This is a really nice one! I like how one of the arrows forms the pin.

Haha, now I feel stupid. :p I guess it wouldn't make much sense for the pin to be part of the arrow, now that I think about it...

    I like it too.
It isn't Victorian. The hinge is of an older type, so is the C-clasp, but in some countries those were used in the 20th century as well.
I think Italian, 1930s-1950s. Could even be Mexican.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It looks newer than Victorian to me, too. And I would also wear something like that. Should be easy to sell, if that is what you are doing with it.
