    dear all

i thought they were teapot covers but there are no holes for the spout and handle. the bloomers-like attachment surely goes over something but what? they need cleaning but i have to go read old threads on how to clean linen :D

    regards

I don't believe that Nylons were invented then.

Nylon is WWII as far as I recall.

"Stockings" existed long before they were made of "nylon."

For the stain removal, may I suggest Oxy-Clean - although I do not know whether it is available where you are, @Phaik Hooi .

You're correct, "nylons" is today's vernacular. Stockings would have been made of silk.

I did not realize that it had a slit at the top for pulling something out. So a tissue box cover may be correct and not a stocking bag.

I've got one I bought at a lace store in Belgium and it's divided and it's for buns.
I'm not sure I'm seeing the photo correctly. Are there two sections to the same piece or are there two different items?

Hmm. Here's the bun warmer - never used, still in the bag from Gallery Lace Garden in Brussels. We go to Belgium every year so I think this is from 10-12 years ago, but the same stuff is sold daily over there.

Is Spic nā€™ Span still around?
Grandma used to use that a lot but not sure if for fabrics.
