Antique weird fur coat and label

Been trying to find out who made this fur coat, not sure what kind of animal it came from, feels rough.
Any help ?

Yup, now looking at the collar, I believe you are correct. Now for the smell, has that funky vintage smell, just can't leave hanging outside, to many thieves in my town.

Save 50 dollars from your sales and invest in a small ozone machine. It will have the smell out in no time. I recommend it to all of you who sell clothing.
I use mine for rugs, furniture etc, takes a lot longer but it is a miracle.

Wow, Greg, 50 dollars! I was wondering about your earlier advice about an ozone machine, it did sound interesting. So I looked into it, but consumer models are prohibited here because of health and safety standards. The professional ones are big and cost thousands of euros.

Usually I warn about the dangers. I use cardboard containers to keep the ozone in while "cleaning" I vent the box to the outside. I have not had any bad reactions doing it that way. When I first rented the machines they came with no warnings. We were ozoning all of the vestments that were in the church fire. Our replacement priest was on the same floor and had terrible problems with pneumonia type problems until we discovered to keep the rooms sealed while using the machines and ventilate them to the outside. It was winter and we kept the windows sealed and the doors were open. Boy did we learn fast.

You can run it through the dryer with Dryell. I think the starter kits are about $12. It comes with a bag and small scented sheets. You put the fur in the bag before it goes into the dryer. I forget what temperature you set the dryer for fur. I'm fairly certain it isn't at full temperature.

 

Is there no way to show the whole label? It looks like it says something about being manufactured.... faux fur??

 

I think it's a Fur Label Authority label. This says that it was instituted in 1956 to clear up misleading names etc. in furs.

Yup, you are correct. I just removed label from seem, came off easy, here it is but what kind of animal, sheered Llama ?

 

Ok. Now I get it. But you should do some research into why fur had to be union made. There has to be an interesting back story there.
