Half vases ?

    I really don't know what you would call these ? I posted them many moons ago but no one seemed to have an idea of who or what,so I thought I'd give them a shot here. They are 2 3/4 high,and I guess (?) they are a pair ? They are signed "jmc" on the bottom but that's all. Any info would be appreciated. Especially on a search term ! :) DSCN3032.JPG

    To answer my own question,its Jane McCormick pottery ! Ive googled and searched a q100 times,then as soon as I post a question,there it is ! :oops:

    I was just going to remark that there was a pair in glass posted on another thread in the past day. Whoever it was thought they might be called "bookend" vases.

    Yours are particularly nice! Interesting that they are not identical. If they had been exactly the same, I would have guess "hobbyist" from one of those do-it-yourself ceramics places.

    When you look at the photo of them together, it looks like one continuous pattern.
    I really like that.
    (can't believe I spelled "continuous" without a red line showing up. heehee)

    They are wonderful, I would have said FABULOUS if they were a bit taller.:D I really do like them.

    Thanks for the input everyone . :) I found a similar example by her in pink and white and she called them "half vases". Now I want the pink ones ! LOL ! It never ends,does it !

    Aside from bookends, those half vase would be good to place on window sills and other "skinny" areas.

    Pattern is pretty much a copy of Dedham ......
