Any help on identifying age, maker and value on this would be great. I looked all over but did not find any marks to identify maker so far. I recently acquired in a storage auction, so i know very little about it.
    measures 20 x 21 closed, 40 x 21 open, 29 inches high
    Thanks

I like it! It grabs the imagination and makes one think of a traveling entertainer connection!

yes, i kinda wonder being as compact it might be for traveling but so far no one that i have shown it too can give me much on it.

It looks French to me. Id guess 1870s or so because of the color and stencils, but thats a guess. Its a pretty little thing, pity its seen some bad storage.

    Cute little vanity.
I suspect it is from the 1950s.
I'm looking at the inside finish and the way it is made, as well as the hardware and the type of stenciling.

Was trying to find the history of the slide hinge without success. This looks like 1950s hardware.

My thought is 1950s too. I remember other types of pieces with similar paint treatment. If I remember correctly, Italian imports.

would also think 50s-60s Italian in a French style.
