ISRAEL letter openers

    Found these at the swap meet, paid a couple dollars.


    i found these to be cool looking, are they simply some tourist pieces? One is like a dagger and has a sheath, they both are marked israel. im having major issues with the image upload tech on here sorry lol.

    Yes, both are Middle Eastern souvenirs. The first one is a 'replica' of a traditional Palestinian dagger.
    The second one is also in traditional Middle Eastern style. That design was around in the 30s, they kept making it when Palestine became Israel. Similar souvenir letter openers were made in Syria.
