    Agree, chrysoprase. Lovely stone, very Aussie, although it is found elsewhere as well.

    Wire wrap it and it would make one heckuva pendant! It would work as a window decoration too.

    The OP said 8x170mm; I've worn a lot worse. Wire wrap that, swing it horizontally and it would make a really nice statement necklace. A good jeweler might even drill 1mm holes on the ends and run the wire through those and turn it into a sort of collar. It would look beautiful and probably not weigh more than a lot of metal ones the same size.
