    If someone had a coin mounted on the handle, it never was a working seal & the photos have not been reversed. Possible that it is a cast of the obverse of a genuine coin & has a flat back. Otherwise might not stay well attached.

    I'm thoroughly confused about which photos show the item as is & which are reversed. If reversed, then not a coin at all but an impression made from a coin.

    At this point I am too - but I agree - it's the same image as the coin - reversed or not. Would be useful perhaps if @abdel would post a new picture showing the item in hand, non reversed.

    @abdel - in your original post, you attached 2 pictures - are you saying the 2nd picture is reversed? The background seems to be in the same orientation on the 1st and 2nd photo - therefore, unless they were BOTH reversed before posting them, I don't think either one of them was.

    2nd picture is reversed just to be able writing the letters. original looks like this

    Think we have that sorted. Now, does anyone else wonder whether the version of the handle with the talons holding a carnelian ball is the way these came from the factory and that the metal ball on this one has been added later? Does it show signs of soldering? Or just grimy in the crevices?
