Hello Everyone! Jessica and Jason here. I was hoping that someone here might be able to us identify this mug. It was given to us as a gift. We were told it was "dragon stone" but we have been unable to find anything despite our research. The bottom states "Made in the USA" and "Oven Proof" as well as the number "24" and "319" including a symbol that appears to be a capital T or an anchor. We opted to list it on eBay to see what the market is willing to pay but an ID would be helpful. I'd hate to lose a valuable piece

Thank you so much! Yikes! it's on eBay for .99 cents lol! Should I increase the price or ride it out? Lol. We're still learning over here.

Thanks Komo! Lesson learned. Out of curiosity is there a place on the forum where it would be appropriate for me to post the auction? I know I'm off topic *eeek*

Looking at Ebay sold listings - they seem to sell from anywhere bewteen 1 and 10 dollars for an individual mug. Sold price probably has more to do with the shipping cost than anything else. Starting it at 99c is probably fine. May or may not sell depending on what you're charging for shipping - there seem to be a lot of them listed. Good luck!

You're awesome Aaron! Thank you for sharing your insight on the market. My shipping is only $4.99 so I'm hopeful that will help

We had a set of them purchased in 1970 on my last visit to relatives in LA.

That's kinda cool. Any pics worth posting? So, I'm kinda bummed. I looked up Anchor Hocking on eBay and there are tons of listings but nobody seems to be bidding. Is there any other site I should check out? I really just want $4 or $5 bucks out of it. A "first sale" victory kinda thing. I've tried listing locally on Facebook too. Not much activity yet though. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I know I'm talking allot but I'm excited! This is all new to us. We're scouting local garage sales this weekend as well as visiting the local antique shops in hopes of attaining information on what sells best at the local level. eBay is cool for a set or bundle of items but paying for shipping on a single cup isn't too realistic. Well, then again perhaps that depends on the cup lol.

When attempting to place a value on items it is important to look at actual "sold" listings instead of just asking prices. Sellers can ask whatever price they want, that doesn't mean it is going to sell for that price or at all. I've found etsy's prices to be a bit unrealistic and wonder how much is actually sold.

It is much harder to sell items than purchase them. I've been studying this business for a long time and I'm not sure if I could profitably make the jump from collector to dealer. There is not enough margin, you really have to buy right (cheap).

Look under Fire King as well as Anchor Hocking, as many sellers list Kimberly mugs there as well.
That style seems to run hot and cold with folks.
    Much good luck

Unfortunately those Kimberly mugs are common. I wont pick up any for resale.
