My father passed away 5 years ago. I'm going through the last of his belongings and found some old 78 records that used to be my grandfathers. He was born around 1900. Most are Bing Crosby from decca records?
Question is are they worth anything? Is there any demand for them? I know Bing Crosby was famous and sold a lot of records and I'm sure there are still many around.
I was going to put them in the garbage but decided not to for now.
    Any advice is appreciated.

Yes, go to eBay. I always do two steps when searching for comparables. First, I check Closed listings to see how many have been on offer. Next, I check Sold listings to see how many were sold and at what price. That gives me a very good idea of supply & demand. If it then seems there might be interest, I go to Open listings to see how many offers I'd be competing with and at what price. Then, I make my decision to list or not. I don't believe Bing Crosby records are terribly desirable but I may be wrong. (And, if they're not, donating to a thrift shop is a better option than just tossing in garbage.)

I could be interested in any that only have a song on one side and the other has a scene cast into it or anything else other than blank please. :)

I did some searching on ebay and Bings 1945 Christmas album seems pretty popular. I don't recall seeing that one.
I'll look at them closer this weekend and take some pics.
There are a few albums with a few to several records in each.

Most 78s, sorry to say, are best made into flower pots. It's always worth checking though just in case you have some Paragon or other crazy money labels mixed into the stack.

Don't donate or throw away until you check titles. Some of these 78 records, even without the sleeves can be very valuable. I just found a case of old country 78's and the first one I researched sold for $58. There are some that sell in the thousands.

Here is an ebay link of highest to lowest sold 78's. $8600 was the highest. Many sold in the $1500 range so definitely worth researching.

OK I went through the 78 and found some 45s too. The best one to me(forgive me I'm a rookie)is this Jackie Gleason 45. Nice graphics on the cardboard sleeve.

Here's a pic of the pile. Some of the more famous artists are Guy Lombardo, Buddy Clark, Vaughn Monroe, Tony Martin, Dinah Shore, Patti Page. There's 25+different artists. I'll list the rest of them when I get more time.

You need to go to ebay advanced search and put the titles in to find the values.

Example: "Perry Como 78 record album" and then click on sold and any sold records will come up with the prices.

I agree with Mill Cove that one of the best research methods would be an ebay search for completed listings with each title.
I haven't checked on most of my own 78s beyond determining that 1950s children's 78s are essentially worthless. My research into 45s would seem to indicate there is some interest in early jazz, such as perhaps your Ella Fitzgerald, and in some rock recordings, such as perhaps your Elvis; but many of mine have no value at all - Vaughn Monroe, Danny Kaye, Guy Lombardo.
But maybe you'll get lucky with some of yours.
