No, it is Japanese. Look at the post right after yours.

So glad JB Miller found that!

Ironic too. My estranged husband's name is J Miller (so my last name is Miller too).

Come to think of it, John, is that you? LOL, just kidding.

I just purchase one at an estate sale with the same signature / marking. It is a 14 1/2" x 2 3/4" bowl. My wife says it's from Pottery Barn. LOL My marking might be a bit off from yours but that's because I had to re-size it.

Tom - Beach Life Girl started this thread in 2020 and has not been around since last July. Did you have a question for her?

You need to turn the image of the marking to vertical, although I don't know which end is the top.

Search eBay for "Asian Andrea Sedak" and you will find several of this vintage bowl.
    Below is one:

Always remember that everything at an estate may not be old or valuable. It is common for items not owned by the deceased to be included by the sale organizer. It's called "salting the sale"

Andrea by Sadek is an importer mark.

There are many different marks on imported Chinese and Japanese ceramics that have the ANDREA sticker, as you know. As a collector of Meiji Arita, Kutani and Satsuma, I keep a data base for marks that I do not find on sites like Gotheborg as the repos are getting better and better. The link is for the history of this company. https://giftshopmag.com/news/norma_sadek_founder_of_andrea_by_sadek_passes_away_at_92/

A bowl like yours is on Etsy with the sticker of the maker on the back with the mark.
